Koji Kondo – Zelda Medley – Overworld Theme & Ocarina Songs (cover)

http://Rocket-Piano.org

I wanted to epitomize the Overworld Theme, and leave the Ocarina Songs in their pure, original form.

Ugh, sorry for my messiness in the Overworld Theme, my arrangement was sort of a reach in terms of my playing. (another words I was attempting something really hard to play)

Also, I apologize for my melodic mistakes in Zelda’s Lullaby… I was actually playing that one by memory so I messed up!!!!

So here is the official order:

Zelda Overworld Theme
Minuet of Forest
Bolero of Fire
Serenade of Water
Nocturne of Shadow
Requiem of Spirit
Zelda’s Lullaby

ENJOY

Your Pianist,

Kyle Landry

Halo 3 – Menu Music (Piano & Strings)

http://www.ListenAndPlayPiano.com

I designed this course to teach aspiring musicians how to play by ear. I’ve spent a lot of time and effort making this course. More information about this course is available in my profile page. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as you enjoy my YouTube videos!

Here is my take (it’s not exactly the same as the soundtrack, hence ‘my take’) on the Halo 3 Menu Music. From the first time I heard it I knew I wanted to play it and I finally took the time to learn and put it up on You Tube. It has the familiar theme from Halo 2 and a new piano melody. Marty is a genius!

Hi! This is a clip from my upcoming instructional dvd, “Unlocking the Keys.”
This is a pretty simple clip for pretty simple people… nothing flashy, just smooth jazz for the beginner.

The 4 hour instructional dvd will be available (at the latest) May of 2008, through Wheatworks Production Company (www.showmethat.com). It will cover secrets for the beginners as well as the advanced musicians.

Thanks for the support, as it is my ultimate desire to keep pretty simple music both, pretty and simple!!!

What are some piano rock bands?

I like the rocket summer which has a nice mix of guitar and piano. I also like that song by straylight run called the tension and the terror. Another nice song is don’t stop believing by journey.

I’m just looking for music similar to all of the things listed above. Any ideas?

Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin are amazing. Also get more Staylight Run they’re really good too.
We Shot The Moon too. They’re a bit more poppy, still good though. Oh and Ben Folds Five.

How good of a piano course is Learn & Master Piano?

Also, how good of a pianist would I be after completion?

Quite average. But go through the books and then look for the "Rock Keyboard" series by Sheila Romeo. Most piano courses teach you the basics of how to play, read sheet music, and play good piano pieces. But a real pianist understands more than that. Sheila Romeo is a Berklee College of Music graduate who shows you another side of piano playing – how to be an accompianist, how to play with other musicians, and the theory every guitarist and lead violinist knows. Having these musical principles at your fingertips will make you GREAT! I promise.

What is the average payment for piano lessons?

I want to start taking piano lessons, so I decided to do a little research. If you know any good piano teachers please let me know. Please and thank you.

I have played piano for nearly 10 years now, and have had 3 separate teachers. The first one was a professor of music at a local school and charged about 60 dollars an hour. A couple years later, I switched to a former graduate from Julliards School of Music, and he charged about 70-75 dollars per hour. My most recent mentor is an old asian lady who teaches more for the fun than the money, and I believe she only charged 40 dollars an hour. Honestly, I think she was the best out of the 3.

If you are just starting to play piano, I would not suggest anything more than 40 dollars an hour. You don’t need a really professional teacher to teach you the basic/intermediate stuff.

What is a good piano piece to play for people?

I have played piano for about four years and I would consider myself at an almost advanced level. I need to learn a piece to play at school for a talent show.
Anything would be good, but not some dumb slow piece or anything like that.
Thanx

I don’t know how good you are but I always like hearing these:

Flight of the bumblebee-Rimsky-Korsakov

La Campanella-Franz Liszt

If these are too hard, try Tifa’s theme from FF7-Advent Children
